Terms of Service

Word Puzzle World provides online word puzzle tools, including a word search solver, word search generator, limited browser print features, image scan / OCR features, and lightweight puzzle games. The service is designed for general educational, classroom, homeschool, family, and personal puzzle use.

The website is not a legal, professional, archival, or guaranteed educational records service. You should review all puzzle content, extracted text, answer keys, and outputs before using, printing, sharing, or relying on them.

Some account features and protected server features may require signing in with Google. You are responsible for maintaining control of your Google account and for all activity that occurs through your Word Puzzle World account.

You must provide accurate account information, may not impersonate another person, and may not use another person's account without permission. Google Sign-In is provided by Google and is subject to Google's own terms and privacy policies.

We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendar, or other Google account content for normal sign-in. We use basic sign-in information for authentication, account management, usage limits, support, security, and abuse prevention.

You may delete your Word Puzzle World account from the top-right account menu. Account deletion removes your account, active sessions, and scan credit records from our D1 account database, but it may not remove separate provider logs, security logs, analytics records, support messages, or records we must retain for legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or operational reasons.

You are responsible for the words, titles, puzzle grids, images, screenshots, camera captures, and other content you enter or upload. Do not enter or upload personal information, student records, school IDs, confidential information, sensitive personal information, unlawful content, or content you do not have permission to process.

If you upload a worksheet, puzzle image, screenshot, or photo, you confirm that you have the right to use that material with the service and that your use does not violate another person's rights, privacy, school policy, or applicable law.

Image scan processes your selected image in the browser using browser image processing and self-hosted OCR model assets. The current main solver image scan reads both the puzzle grid and word list locally in your browser. If the grid or word list cannot be detected clearly, you may be asked to retake, straighten, crop, improve the photo, or type the words manually.

OCR extraction may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unable to read certain images. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting extracted grids, word lists, answer keys, and generated outputs before using, printing, sharing, or relying on them. Do not upload images containing personal information, student records, confidential information, sensitive personal information, or content you do not have permission to process.

Image scan may fail because of blurry photos, tilted pages, unusual fonts, low contrast, handwritten letters, cropped word lists, poor lighting, or unsupported image formats. Manual editing remains your responsibility before solving or printing.

We may set daily or other usage limits for OCR image scans or protected server endpoints, including limits based on account, IP address, device, or other anti-abuse signals. Usage limits may change over time and are not guaranteed.

Attempts to bypass limits, create multiple accounts to evade limits, automate OCR requests, scrape aggressively, overload endpoints, or abuse the service may result in request blocking, account suspension, or loss of access.

Free accounts may receive a limited number of OCR image scans per day. Limits may reset based on server time and may change to protect the service from abuse or excessive cost.

Generated puzzle outputs are provided as-is. Please review puzzles and answer keys before using them in class, at home, or in other materials.

You may use generated puzzles for personal, classroom, homeschool, and non-commercial educational purposes. Commercial publishing, resale, print-on-demand, KDP, Etsy listings, large-scale redistribution, or inclusion in paid products may require separate review and is not granted by default.

You remain responsible for ensuring that your word lists, images, uploaded materials, and final outputs do not infringe copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, school policies, or other legal rights.

You may not use Word Puzzle World to upload unlawful, harmful, privacy-invasive, confidential, infringing, abusive, or malicious content. You may not attempt to disrupt the service, bypass security controls, reverse engineer restricted systems, probe private APIs, or use automated systems in a way that harms availability or cost.

You may not use the service to process student records, private classroom materials, medical information, government identifiers, financial information, or other sensitive data unless you have all required permissions and have determined that the service is appropriate for that use.

Word Puzzle World, including its website design, code, branding, and original site content, is owned by or licensed to the operator of the service. You may not copy, resell, frame, or misuse the site or branding except as allowed by law or with permission.

You retain responsibility for content you submit. By using the service, you grant us the limited right to process your inputs and uploaded images only as needed to operate the tools, provide OCR/image scan results, secure the service, troubleshoot errors, and enforce these Terms.

The service may rely on third-party providers such as Cloudflare for hosting and security, Google Sign-In or Google Identity Services for authentication, analytics providers for aggregate measurement, and email providers for support messages.

Third-party services are controlled by their own providers and may be subject to their own terms, privacy policies, availability, retention rules, and security practices. We are not responsible for third-party outages, account systems, policy changes, or processing outside our control.

The current main solver image scan runs in the browser and does not spend OCR credits. Account credit records may still exist for account features, disabled legacy endpoints, future protected server features, abuse prevention, and service availability. Credit rules may change as the service evolves.

The current version does not include paid purchases, subscriptions, billing, or refunds. If paid credits or paid features are introduced later, applicable pricing, billing, cancellation, refund, and quota terms will be provided before purchase.

Word Puzzle World is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, or suitable for every classroom, school, publication, or use case.

OCR results, generated puzzles, answer keys, and game results may contain mistakes. You are responsible for checking results before using them with students, publishing them, printing them, sharing them, or relying on them.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Word Puzzle World will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for loss of data, profits, business opportunities, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from or related to your use of the website, uploaded images, OCR results, generated puzzles, answer keys, account features, usage limits, or third-party services.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you. In that case, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

If you believe content on Word Puzzle World infringes your copyright, contact support@wordpuzzleworld.com with enough information for us to identify the content and review your request. Please include your contact information, a description of the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing material, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized.

We may remove or disable access to content, tools, or accounts when appropriate and may request additional information before taking action.

You may not use the service in violation of applicable sanctions, export control laws, or laws that restrict access to online services, software, encryption, AI systems, or cloud infrastructure.

We may suspend, limit, or terminate access to the service or specific features if we believe you have violated these Terms, abused OCR limits, attempted to bypass security controls, uploaded unlawful or harmful content, created risk for the service or other users, or caused unusual cost or availability issues.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the website shall be resolved in the courts of the United States. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights or other rights that cannot be waived under applicable law. If you are a consumer resident outside the United States, you may also have rights under the consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
