How do I solve a word search from a photo?

Can I use a screenshot?
Yes. Clear screenshots usually work well, especially when the grid and word list are visible.
How is my image processed?
Image scan tries to find and read the puzzle grid and word list in your browser. If the grid is not clear enough, use the preview pencil to straighten or crop the photo, retake it, or enter the puzzle manually.
Does Word Puzzle World store my uploaded image?
We do not save uploaded puzzle images in our own database or object storage after OCR processing. The current main image scan runs locally in your browser.
Is the scan always accurate?
No. OCR and AI image extraction can be incomplete or wrong, especially with blurry photos, tilted pages, handwriting, unusual fonts, or cropped word lists. Always review and edit the extracted grid before solving.
Should I upload student information?
No. Please do not upload student records, student names, email addresses, school IDs, personal photos, confidential materials, or images you do not have permission to use.
Can I edit the grid or word list after scanning?
